Weekend Adventure in a Fishing Village

While the rest of Vancouver was covered in clouds this past Saturday we went to Steveston, a beautiful historic fishing village. I always love visiting Steveston ~ especially in the autumn & on summer evenings.

Sunday in Vancouver = Cupcakes on the Beach

We got half a dozen cupcakes from the cupcake shop in the following flavours: blue hawaii (coconut cream with blue buttercream sprinkled with coconut), diva (chocolate cake with pink vanilla buttercream sprinkled with pink sugar), sweet 16 (vanilla cake with pink vanilla buttercream sprinkled with pastel sprinkles), banana split (banana strawberry marble cake with white vanilla buttercream with chocolate sprinkles and maraschino cherry), lemon drop (lemon cake with lemon buttercream with a candy lemon slice) & tiramisu (vanilla coffee marble cake with cream cheese frosting, dusted with cocoa and topped with mocha bean).
